What budget is required for a textile logistics solution?

Economy, Textile logistics

A highly relevant question when you are considering investing in a textile logistics solution for your business is of course: what budget is required, i.e., what does it cost? In this article, we will try to answer the cost question the best we can.

First of all, we need to clarify that many factors affect the price of our solutions and that the figures we provide here should be seen as approximate.

Difference between renting and buying

When you invest in a textile logistics solution from us, you can choose to do so through an individual purchase, or by signing a rental agreement. Which model you choose affects the total cost and therefore affects how you need to plan your budget. For the sake of simplicity, we will only present costs that are related to our rental solution.

Choice of components affects the cost

A complete textile logistics solution consists of three different components:

  • A product for extraction/registration of clothes
  • A product for return
  • A software system for administration and statistics

Of course, the type of product and how many you need will affect the total cost. However, our software, TEXI Management System, is always included during the rental period, regardless of which products you choose.

The pricing for our most common products are:

Products for extraction

Product name Article number Monthly fee per unit Minimum quantity Total sum per month
TEXI Dispenser Cabinet (HF-model) TDC-HF 224 EUR 10 2 240 EUR
TEXI Dispenser Station TDS-HF 88 EUR 1 88 EUR

Products for return

Product name Article number Monthly fee per unit Minimum quantity Total sum per month
TEXI Return Unit Automatic (HF-model) TRUA-HF 293 EUR 2 586 EUR
TEXI Return Unit Manual (HF-model) TRUM-HF 244 EUR 1 244 EUR
TEXI Return Station TRS-HF 88 EUR 1 88 EUR

The rental rates above include:

How many of each product are needed to meet our needs?

To know how many of the above products are needed to cover the needs of the staff, we will give some examples here. Note, however, that these figures are approximate and the exact capacity may vary.

10 pcs TEXI Dispenser Cabinet, HF model:

  • Can handle up to 90 different types of garments
  • Holds up to 1000 garments
  • An outlet takes about 5 seconds per person/cabinet

So, if you have a staff of 1000 people who pick up work clothes every day, you need at least 10 TEXI Dispenser Cabinets that are re-filled 2 times/day (provided that the staff picks out 1 pair of pants and 1 top per day). Such a solution would require a budget of EUR 2 240 / month.

1 pcs TEXI Return Unit Automatic, HF model:

  • Supports 3 textile trolleys
  • Each trolley holds about 200 garments (depending on the trolley’s size and type of garments)
  • One return session (up to 4 garments) takes about 5 seconds

Two return units with three trolleys each, which are replaced twice a day, is, therefore, enough for 1000 people (provided that the staff only returns the work clothes they used for the day). Such a solution would require a budget of EUR 586 / month.

A complete textile logistics solution according to the above example would therefore require a total budget of EUR 2 826 / month.

Hopefully, these examples have made it clearer about how to budget for future investment in textile logistics. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us!
